Rapha, creators of the world’s finest cycling clothing and accessories, presents its newest Rapha20 special edition, as part of its 20th Anniversary celebrations. Designed in collaboration with Amsterdam based textile innovators BYBORRE, Rapha have crafted a contemporary gilet design with a two-way zip, side pockets and a chest pocket for life on and off the bike.
Constructed with BYBORRE’s innovative knitted textile, it uses a blend of recycled man-made fibres and merino wool. Knitted into the dark grey colourway is a quote from Rapha founder, Simon Mottram. It reads: “The ultimate performance and style with no compromise on either” an essential principle on which Rapha was founded, back in 2004.
Our collaboration with Rapha goes way back, and I’m excited that we were able to come together again to create something truly innovative. Through our digital platform, Rapha had access to our transparent textile supply chain, allowing them to create custom textiles that align with their vision while making conscious decisions throughout the design process.Borre Akkersdijk, Founder of BYBORRE
BYBORRE has been reinventing how the textile industry looks since 2015. Their mission is to revolutionise the textile industry by pioneering responsible textile creation and production methods through digital innovation. They challenge conventions by exploring new creation processes that are less wasteful, less harmful and less rigid. With an open and inspiring approach to design and production, Rapha is pleased to introduce a second collaboration with the Amsterdam-based company, as part of its 20th Anniversary celebrations.
Rapha was founded in 2004 to define new standards in cycling apparel. Innovation, quality and a deep love for the sport has made the brand a market leader in clothing design for cyclists. This accompanies a core purpose to inspire the world to live life by bike, whilst progressing the sport and its culture. Whether weaving through the city or adventuring across mountains – Rapha is there to move you on every ride, with style.
The collection is available to Rapha Cycling Club members from 17 September on rapha.cc and select Rapha Clubhouses (Amsterdam and London), and on general release from 18 September. The gilet will retail at £200 and be available in two colourways.

Distinctive aesthetics and a conscious textile creation platform makes BYBORRE a coveted collaborator in our 20th Anniversary celebrations.
Design isn’t just about creating a product—it’s about shaping the entire supply chain from the raw material up. The choices we make at every stage have a lasting impact, and we need to approach them with greater responsibility. When we design with this mindset, we pave the way for a more positive future. It’s important to remember that design doesn’t just come in at the end; it’s integral right from the start.Borre Akkersdijk, Founder of BYBORRE
