Amsterdam, 17 February, 2026 – BYBORRE introduces a new textile collaboration with Odette Ex, founder of Ex Interiors, a leading Dutch interior architecture studio known for a progressive approach to sustainable design and user wellbeing.

The collaboration introduces Odette Ex, a 3D textile available in BYBORRE’s Textile Room, a collection of signature knitted textiles that can be fully configured. Users can adjust color, tone and scale with real-time previews supporting faster exploration, sampling, increasing design clarity and confident decision making.

BYBORRE invited Odette Ex as a strategic partner to explore advanced 3D knitting techniques for interior architecture. This collaboration led to a hands-on experiment in the BYBORRE design platform, where Ex developed a floral textile reinterpreted through layered 3D knitting into a tactile material that blends tradition with innovation.

Designed specifically for interiors, the textile reimagines the familiar  floral motif through a contemporary layered knit technique. The result is a rich, tactile material with visual depths, available in a range of configurations from subtle and refined to expressive and bold.

The floral motif evolved organically, inspired by flora and fauna, elements known to support well-being. Combined with real plants and natural materials, the textile softens spaces and enhances comfort and meaning.

A good interior breathes. It resonates. Contemporary spaces require tactility, warmth, and human attention. Technology can enhance these qualities, but only when it serves meaning and emotion. Odette Ex

To mark the launch, the textile was presented in collaboration with ROFA, on an acoustic panel and a lounge chair, as featured in the attached press kit. The images illustrate the layered structure, texture, and depth of the textile, highlighting how technology and human-centered design shape the future of interiors.

Traditional craftsmanship, combined with technological innovation, can give a new dimension to contemporary interior design.  Odette Ex

This collaboration marks the beginning of an expanding series of textile partnerships within the BYBORRE collection. By working closely with creative partners, BYBORRE continues to build a growing library of unique textiles.

About BYBORRE®

BYBORRE is a textile company producing innovative knitted textiles for a wide range of applications. What sets them apart is their mission to rethink not just textiles, but the entire way the industry works — with responsibility at its core.

After years of leading technical innovation and developing a striking and instantly recognizable textile language, BYBORRE made a radical move: they opened their platform, giving creators across industries direct access to design their own textiles — a decisive break from the closed, rigid systems that have long defined the industry.

They also took a clear ethical stand: all textiles are produced on-demand, directly tackling the massive environmental impact of overproduction. Through the Textile Passport, every step of the process is fully transparent and traceable — setting a new benchmark for accountability in the textile world.

BYBORRE’s textiles gained immediate international recognition — first in the fashion and sportswear industry, and later across interior architecture, automotive, and lifestyle sectors. Their future-forward approach attracted collaborations with leading brands such as Nike, the Kering Group, BMW Group, Apple TV, Rapha, Gore-Tex, Adidas, McLaren, RipCurl, Natuzzi, The Social Hub, among others.
